So, I've now discovered my art style was never suited for Photoshop really, which was why I could never find myself satisfied with the product. I've recently started learning Illustrator, and the change is huge, at least to me. So, I've switched to using Illustrator for my Shimeji. So, any shimeji I started before my hiatus are pretty much shelved, and I probably won't finish them, with the exception of the HetaOni series, I still want to finished them, so half will be in the Photoshop way, and Half in Illustrator, but eventually I might go back and redo them all, no promises though. Style wise, they are still pretty much the same, it's actually the line work that is the most different... they are also the same size, so I don't think it will take away too much from people that want the whole set.

I'm also not taking any requests for them at all. If I feel like making a shimeji, then I will. I got away from making them for me, to make myself happy, and that's what prompted my temporary abandonment. Other then possible suggestions on which HetaOni character people would like to see next, please respect my wishes and don't ask me for anything. I don't want to get frustrated again so soon and quit again.

Alright, there is a list of Shimeji that I have in my gallery so you guys can have a quick list to look at. It's divided into Illustrator Shimeji and Photoshop Shimeji:

For now, it's just the three. He left it open for more, but hasn't announced new books for TKC.

Wow, your shimejis are cute! I'm making some of my own, they're all of classical composers! I already have a Mozart shimeji finished, I'm working on Beethoven right now :D

Well lately I've been using Illustrator, if you know that program it helps IMMENSELY in speed and line quality within the small details. I also always leave the heads separate from the bodies so I can can edit the expressions, but not have to draw a whole head every time. It makes the shimeji look more uniform, and it cuts your time too.
